"The two-part Lukas in Love finds superstar Lukas Ridgeston heartbroken after catching his boyfriend, Tim Hamilton, cheating on him. Lukas travels to Cape Town, South Africa to assist Marty Stevens in creating photos for a new Bel Ami book. A baker's dozen models are also on the trip, staying in the same hotel, taking advantage of the intimacy. Over the course of the three-week stay, Marc Vidal gets together with Rick Fontana, Ethan Clarke with Yves Carradine, and Sebastian Bonnet with Sascha Chaykin. Lukas also has his fun, allowing himself to be seduced by some of his photographic subjects, exploring the possibilities for his next relationship. Game for anything, Lukas even takes part in his first Turkish bath orgy. At the end of this work-vacation, Lukas finds someone who just might be the one to mend his broken heart. Does he succeed? The astoundingly handsome (and seemingly ageless) Lukas Ridgeston---who became Bel Ami's most iconic and recognizable face---returns in front of the camera for this 2-part extravaganza 10th Anniversary edition. Sort of a "day in the life" of Lukas, he comes home with flowers in hand to give his lover---only to get his heart broken when he finds boyfriend Tim Hamilton (what a wonderfully muscled little blond, who looks hot topping or bottoming) screwing the hell out of cute brunette Danny Saradon. Wounded, Lukas flies to his next assignment in Cape Town, South Africa. During flight, he flashes back to happier times, having sex with Tim in front of a romantic roaring fire. Upon arrival, Lukas gets busy shooting models...and finding a new boyfriend. Of course, that's the fun, as he mingles with several then sexy Bel Ami boys. At the end of Part One, it looks as if Lukas might find a new mate in cute, hunky Tommy Hansen; false start. Part Two is highlighted by an almost exact reprise of the orgy scene from "Lukas' Stories", as a surprised Lukas joins in. Let me tell you, it's just as hot the second time around. But at the end of Part Two, Lukas seems to have found a new love in the beautiful Matt Phillipe, who's passive out of bed but passionate in it. YUM.
Honestly, there's just too much to cover here, as all the scenes are great. Founder George Duroy directs at a languid pace, giving the feel of unrushed sex on a lazy summer day. The photography is sumptuous, Cape Town is breathtaking (a favorite locale for the studio), and then there's those boys...SIGH.
Lukas would return once more to mark his 40th birthday (looking great even then, dammit!) in "Forever Lukas". But "Lukas In Love" is a time capsule of what was then: some models were newbies, while others would exit the business shortly after. All I can say is: where's my ticket to Cape Town?
