Director Joe Gage's Kansas City Trucking Co. is the first part of the classic trilogy that ended up setting the standard for all-male porn (Part 2 is El Paso Wrecking Corp.; Part 3 is L.A. Tool & Die) and remains as one of the most influential - and butch-est - gay porns ever made. An essential pre-condom classic in every sense of the word, replete with "real man" rimming, sucking, fucking, and torrents upon torrents of facial cumshots. Oversize cocks and facial hair were the name of the game back then; wish it were so now. Sure, there's footage missing from the original 1976 print, which admittedly a shame. It, along with the other two in the trilogy have passed through many distributor's hands over the years) and the copy's a little on the grainy side, but that's only because it was shot on glorious film, rather than the more limiting video. So what? This is one of the very few that I'd call a must own. Even the porn-phobic "Advocate" refers to this one as one of the hottest gay porns ever made. So, to sum it up it one one word - awesome.

You won't get an argument from me about the importance of this film in gay porn history. And if you love Joe Gage's films (and if you don't, what's wrong with you?), you'll want to have this. But a word to the wise: this is not 'realistic' porn, like most of Gage's later films. If your idea of a good time is to know at all times exactly who's doing what to whom, you'll be frustrated. The last scene in particular, in a shadowy room, resembles a tumbling mass of cock, pubes and cum more than it does an actual sex act. But there's plenty of hot stuff here. My own favorite: the delectably bearded face of Rickard Locke (my first and best daddy-of-my-dreams) emerging from the bottom of the frame, to lick, and then to suck, an erection that descends from the top of the frame, like a gift from heaven. Yum!
