Since a young age, Turner Risk (Nick Fink) has been the victim of bullying. One day he has had enough and decides to strike back by getting rid of all of the negatives in his life so that he can reboot his world. When plan becomes clear to him, his only friend, Robbie Cruz (Carlin James) who is without work and struggling to make ends meet, teams up with his new companion Seth (Sean Cruz) and high school nemesis Conner (Rory Hart) to stop Turner. The problem is that they must find him first. What follows is a day of sudden tragedies and, ultimately, of revelations not expected.
Even as a boy, Turner was surrounded by intolerance just because others thought he was different. The film looks at one day in the lives of Turner and Robbie and both are at a crucial moment in their lives. Turner wants a life without negativism and Robbie is struggling to find a job and be independent. They make decisions that come together just as they always have done. They both want change and are unaware what change can bring with it.
The young actors have an energy that about them and the roles they perform are reminiscent of events that have all experienced. The way we face choices and challenges make us who we are and we really see this here.
This is not an easy film to watch but it is an important one. After all, it is about beginnings and changes and that life can make us laugh even in the most difficult of times. More than anything else, it is about tolerance and acceptance.
