When a black gay youth is thrown out of his home, he discovers the Los Angles ball scene in this edgy drama.

Reasons to Buy

  1. Leave It on the Floor features music by Beyonce's music director Kim Burse, and choreography by Beyonce's dance master, Frank Gatson Jr. That is pretty impressive. I don't know if you heard, girl, but Beyonce ain't no slouch.
  2. This movie has earned rave reviews from some pretty serious publications. The Huffington Post said that it will "will blow your socks off!" The Hollywood Reporter called it "a good-hearted joyride." Indiewire said it has "great beats and glamorous attitude."
  3. This is probably the best movie to cover the same topic as Paris is Burning SINCE Paris is Burning. It takes place in Los Angeles instead of NYC, but Leave It on the Floor shows that lavish, visually stunning balls are alive and well.
