Heterosexual Jill

I love that we are able to laugh at ourselves once in a while-it is a good cleansing feeling that only comes by us every once in a while but when it does it just feels great. "Heterosexual Jill" is coming your way from Ariztical and you do not want to miss it.

We meet Jill, a professed and self-proclaimed ex-lesbian who goes off looking for ex-girlfriend so that she can prove that she no longer is attracted to her. You can already get an idea where this film is going with that. Nothing will be what it seems to be and here is a romantic comedy that is not so romantic but it is about being in and out of love with who you think you are (at any given time).

Jill (Jen McPherson) just does not seem to be making any progress becoming an ex-lesbian. She sees herself as an all-American girl and being a lesbian distorts that picture. She decides that the best way to prove that she is no longer into women is to track down her ex-girlfriend, Jamie (Michelle Ehlen) who you may remember as "Butch Jamie") so that she can prove to herself that there is nothing there anymore. Jamie, out of guilt (but still filled with desire for Jill), goes along with her.

Jill wants them to date with the idea that Jill will be able to get rid of her desire for women altogether and move onto men. At the same time, David (Keye Chen) and Lola (Shaela Cook) are vying for the affections of one Jose (Geovanni Gopradi), a sexually ambiguous and they constantly compare notes on his sexuality and how they see it. When things get complicated with Jamie, Jill sees Jose as an escape plan. But then things get really complicated when love triangles shift and move and realign again, Jamie then goes through an identity crisis that she has no idea of how to deal with.

The comedy is over the top as are the situations and we bounce between laughter and tears, repression and desire as the film explores who we are. There are serous ideas and thoughts here about sexuality and gender and sexuality and identity.
