Boasting a cast of hunks and a witty script from Q. Allan Brocka (Eating Out and Boy Culture) and Phillip J. Bartell, Eating Out 2 is packed with more sexy, irreverent fun for all you guys who love the first edition. Returning to head up the cast are gay "American Idol" finalist Jim Verraros as Kyle and Emily Brooke Hands as Gwen, the ultimate fag hag. New to the cast, along with an array of studs, is John Waters veteran Mink Stole in a hilarious turn as Kyle's mom, Helen. When Kyle and Marc (Brett Chuckerman) have a breakup that doesn't quite feel final, Marc goes off in search of other prey while Gwen, Kyle and Tiffany (Rebekah Kochan, also back from Eating Out) head to art class, where today Troy (Marco Dapper) will model nude. As the trio lusts after Troy, they can't quite figure out who he likes: boys or girls? Troy and Kyle leave class together and head off across campus where they bump into Jacob (Scott Vickaryous) and his ex-gay group, "Coming In". Kyle, who is ultra-gay without a butch bone in his body, decides to pretend he's an ex-gay to see if he can get into mixed-up Troy's pants. There's lots of room for comic craziness as the charade heats up. Funnier and wackier than the first edition, we think Sloppy Seconds is hysterical. The film is a total farce, without any intent to educate or illuminate any serious topics, and for this, we love it. And by the way there is plenty of male nudity ? it seems like it's almost all the boys ? except Jim Verraros. Have a laugh and enjoy this completely frivolous film!

"Eating Out" was a big hit at festivals and among viewers and when something is well received and enjoyable, it is only logical to use the idea and do a sequel. Even though this movie is called "Eating Out 2" is not really a sequel but a movie unto itself. And it is a good one.
Ask yourself how far you would go to find and get the man of your dreams. Kyle (Jim Verraros of "American Idol" fame) is gay and asks his roommate to pretend to be gay to get the girl of his ideals. With the help of two friends, Gwen and Tiffani, Kyle pretends to be straight so that he can land the new guy n town, Troy, a nude model (who has what he needs to be a successful nude model). Kyle suddenly finds himself becoming a member of an ex-gay group on his college campus and finding a girlfriend there. Meanwhile, Kyle's ex-boyfriend is aghast at the plan and he decides that he will go after Troy himself by being openly gay. The plot concerns itself with who will win Troy and live happily after.
This is a fun movie but does not reach the level that the original "Eating Out" did. "Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds" falls into the category of farce with lots of slapstick humor and it is very, very funny, Not as slick as the first "Eating Out" the sequel stands on its own and I loved it. When I say this one did reach the level of the first, I meant that it was not as professional but overall I liked this one much more. There is lots of clever dialogue and hysterical moments and pokes fun at "gay society" today. It has a good laugh at the expense of mocking the stereotypes of the gay lifestyle and thereby allows you to look inside of yourself after you have finished laughing yourself into a catatonic state during the actual movie.
The casting is as close to prefection that you find in a low budget film. The actors are fun to watch and they seemed to be enjoying themselves during the filming. The guys are HOT and great eye candy.
This movie des not pretend to be anymore than a good time. Nothing is serious and the fact that t may cause some introspection does not mean it has a message. If, indeed, it does have a message, it is "Enjoy". Overall this is a movie to enjoy-you don't have to think, you can just sit back and laugh. One of the highlights is Mink Stole playing Kyle's mother. Her comments are wonderful and it was good to see her again back on screen. In her final scene, she manages to walk away with the movie in her back pocket. But she is not the only good thing about the film. If you want to see a movie that is just pure enjoyment, this is the one for you.

The comedy is delivered very smoothly throughout this picture. This should be added to your collection. A RUN FOR LOVE!!!

I imagine most of us will buy this movie simply for Troy of Troy Illinois (Marco Dapper); and when you see him in the first few minutes, you will agree. The reason you really need to purchase this film is the unexpected chemistry between Jim Verraros and Tiffany (Rebekah Kochan). Both actors played off each other very well, and Rebecca Kochan comedic timing made the movie what it is.
My main disappointment was having the character (Marc) played by Ryan Carnes from the original being replaced with Brett Chuckerman. I felt the producers should have created a new character for Mr. Chuckerman, and it would have worked out quite nicely. Also, Marco Dapper's country drawl that he was so trying hard to convey, was at times over the top and annoying -again, it was something that could have been done without. But then again, Mr. Dapper would not even need to speak a word for me to watch him in this movie again and again and again.....

Chukerman is a fine actor with stunning good looks--a bright-eyed ready smile and a beautiful body. Nice eye-candy! I hope to see him in many future movies.

I really did not expect to laugh as much as I did. Marco Dapper and Brett Chuckerman surely provided some great eye candy as did some of the other men. I do wonder why Jim Verraros has not shown anything in both movies.

Highly enjoyable film. Wise casting choice for the character of Troy. Marco Dapper is quite a find. Considering this is his first film role, he has the looks and talent to pull it off.
