An edgy drama about a gay teen's tumultuous decent into and anonymous sex, Wrecked is a twink-lover's wet dream. Explicit and nearly pornographic, this indie from debut filmmakers/brothers Harry and Bernard Shumanski forges new territory in the realm of plot-driven erotica. Ryan is an earnest 18-year-old trying to develop a career as an actor and getting his life on the right track. This course is quickly threatened with the sudden arrival of his sort-of ex, Daniel, who arrives at Ryan's door wanting a place to stay and offering the promise of a normal, loving relationship. But Daniel's addiction and his perpetually slutty top-man horniness derail any hope for normalcy and soon ensnares Ryan in his own downward spiral of sex and addiction. There are solos, passionate -induced lovemaking scenes and even a hot threesome. Check out our gallery for lots of juiciness. Handheld cameras, a hot young cast and a boldly upfront approach to sex combine to make Wrecked a uniquely orgasmic film experience.

I enjoyed the film very much. The movie provided a number of hard scenario in dealing with everyday life, especially if you are facing financial hardship.

This appears to be nothing more than a series of unscripted, improvised scenes, a great many of them sexual. Is it supposed to be a (im-)morality tale? Can't tell. Production values are non-existent. The only reason anyone would watch this is for the many, obviously not just simulated, sex scenes. But the characters (and, alas, actors) are unappealing. We get it: they are young; they do ; they have lots of sex. But we are given no reason to care about any of these characters. And, I am afraid, even if we did care, the movie is so meandering and poorly made that it would still be torturous to sit through. Spare yourself!

What a bad movie. When you have plot, characters and budget this poor, you just hope there's cute guys and some nudity to make it worth your while. Unfortunately the twinks are not cute and have lots of annyoing twink/queeny attitude that pretty much render them unattractive even when there's full nudity happening. It's just another one of those LOW budget American gay films that look like they were written, filmed and thought up in one night by some people who's only film qualifications were that they owned a camera. The best part is the film class/director chick who rolls her eyes at how bad the actors are on the stage - I know just how she felt.

Awful movie, no content just and sex and bad acting (the sex was no good for me either as twinks don't turn me on, prefer men to be more masculine myself)

Sorry, but this film just wasn't that good. The actors were very cute but the chemistry between them was really bad. The kissing was very fake. There was sexier kissing between two straight actors in Brokeback Mountain than in this movie. I can't believe this was even compared to Shortbus because it is nothing like it. The plot was all over the place. The editing was off as well. I really wanted to like this film because the story line seemed real in the description, but it just never made the delivery for me. Even with all the nudity it just never fell together.

"Wrecked"
Really Raunchy

I find it amazing to see how much gay cinema has changed and is changing. "Wrecked" (TLA Releasing) is most definitely representative of the new wave of gay movies. Filled with lots of nudity, the film is the story of two boys who should never have fallen in love. We watch the descent into and random sex as youngsters meander into a world that they are not yet ready to enter. This is erotica with a story.
Ryan, an 18 year old, tries to become an actor and really works at getting his life on track but when his ex-boyfriend shows up at his place and asks to stay there, his life takes a turn. Daniel offers Ryan a loving relationship but he cannot live up to that because of his habit and his sexual behavior which can only be labeled as promiscuous. He manages to rope Ryan in and soon the two find themselves in a steady descent. Sex becomes their world and the camera takes it all in. Ably helmed by a brother team, Harry and Bernard Schumanski, we see twinks as we have never seen them before and this bold Memphis indie film goes where few films have dared to go. This is not just a movie but an experience and what you see may haunt you long after the film is over. It is an interesting look at a word that many of us do not now and it is acted with style that shows us what can happen when one loses his direction in life and also forgets who he really is. Not an easy film to watch but "Wrecked" is a film that will make you wonder if this is the way gay life is going and if so, what can be done to stop it.
