Leather Angel

Leather Angel is a rather odd title. It sounds a lot more like a big-budget action flick with Pam Anderson that flops or a low-budget skin flick with a fresh-out-of-rehab Lindsay Lohan that flops than it does a gay porn film. And aside from the "leather" part, the title speaks very little as to the actual content. And while that content might be rather poor, here we are once again so why not give it a go? We open on a dungeon-like scene featuring Dillon Reed and David Griffin, neither of whom is exceptionally hot. There's also something about socks that bother me, at least in this case. You go out of your way to dress your entire naked body up in random strappings of leather and metal, yet you never bother to take your shoes and socks off? And we're talking socks that normally rise to mid-calf, so long as you don't have them bunched at your ankles like this dude. I don't know - perhaps I'm picky. I suppose you could step on something and get a nasty infection in a "dungeon," but hands down, it was the only thing I could concentrate on for the whole scene. Scene two features Dillon Reed once again, only this time he's fucking Johnny Rahm who's actually less-hot than David Griffin, so we start off poor. There is some okay deep-throating towards the beginning (I love a good choker), but not the best I've seen. And it seems the only real leather is Dillon's vest, no good restraints, codpieces or the like. Michael Gaylord and Nick Romano take scene three. They're actually not terrible looking, but once again, from a leather lover's perspective, we've only got some dude wearing his old leather jacket in jail while getting fucked. Hardcore S&M shit, huh? Dillon Reed is back for the final showing, with his strappy leather get-up from scene one in tow. Seriously, without that one garment, there would be no way you could put the word "leather" in the title of this film and look someone straight in the face. Randy Storm is actually kind of cute, but not enough to save the scene. And definitely not cute enough to save this stinker.

Decent albeit unspectacular leather-light fetish flick. The cast is a nice crew of early 90s dudes, and some of the sex scenes have some nice "outcums." But the videography is a bit shaky at times as well as dark, and while the cast is hot, as stated, I wish it hadn't been so vanilla. Johnny Rahm in a baseball cap is great looking to be sure, and I really wanted to get into this one; I think the title is what really caught my attention. While it didn't live up to the expectations I admittedly set upon it and it may not be from the heavens, there is enough good gay sex in Leather Angel to satiate the little devil in the casual porn viewer.
