Komrades & Birch
Steve KokkerWriter/director Steve Kokker's pair of films explore the lives of Russian seamen and cadets with an unusual intimacy and in a gloriously homoerotic way. The short film, Birch tells the story of a gay seduction of a soldier. And the feature, Komrades goes behind the scenes with a group of naval cadets. (In true underground style, this film was made on low-tech equipment and is not of the highest image and sound quality.)
