Jayson Bend: Queen & Country

Agent Jayson Bend (Davis Brooks) teams up with Swiss counterpart Alec DeCoque (Tom Read Wilson) to stop the launch of a new satellite that will turn Raymond Perdood (Paul Norton) into one of the most powerful men in the world. Perdood owns the largest global hair salon chain.
If you have ever thought about James Bond as a gay man, you will love this movie. Director Matt Carter gives the world's most famous secret agent a makeover and we see 007 become 009 and a man who is tall, dark and handsome; this is a man on a mission, one that in Carter's well-crafted hands is not a cheap satire of the genre but an enjoying film.

By design, the plot is over the top just as most Bond movie are. Here a hairdressing megalomaniac, who is intent on dominating the salon market, seizes his opportunity by way of a gel that contains a DNA altering chemical. Those who use it do not know this however. With a screenplay by writer and producer Andrew Faure, the film contains many Bond styled double entendres (that have been absent in the latest Bond movies). Here they make the film a lot of fun. Miss Moneypenny suddenly becomes Mr. Dicky Dollar and this is only a small example of what you will find here.
This is a film that is tongue-in-cheek look at Bond as an action man one moment, a comic the next, who lets his eyes do the walking, gay man style.
