Citizen Change tells the hidden history of how a dedicated group of LGBT activists in the neighboring East Bay cities of Berkeley and Oakland took the first step towards today's marriage equality advancements. The film recalls the emerging Gay and Lesbian rights movement of the 1970s and 1980s and, in the words of the participants, details the personal and political obstacles they overcame to make history by establishing the first domestic partners policy in the world.
