Str8 To Gay #4

MEN.com's Str8 to Gay series is not one of my favorites from the company. (I prefer the Drill My Hole ones above all.) But fans seem to love this stuff, so what do I know. It's all web-based content, and while it looks decent, there's nothing amazing here. In fact, one of Str8 to Gay's charms - for me, anyway - is how much it feels like Falcon-style porn from the mid-90s. That's not a slight on the line, just an observation. First the goofy stuff... Having spectacular power-bottom Johnny Rapid play straight is beyond laughable. He's one of my favorite performers (if you haven't seen his mouth in action during a faux you're missing out) but here it just plays as stupid. It doesn't help that he's partnered with the real-life Rosso twins, who show about as much realistic enthusiasm here as a suburban father of ten being dragged to a mall on the Sunday before Christmas does. Don't even get me started on the overall technical aspects of this entire affair. There are some good scenes: Phenix Saint's medical "malpractice" with Ayden is fine; Cliff Jensen does his trademark piston-power-fuck thing on a clearly enthralled Kirk in a bar; real-life jailbird Sebastian plays a just-sprung jailbird who needs pussy and ends up with his crash-pad buddy Gavin (scene should've been better than it was); and personal trainer Jessie tries to guide straight guy Joe to better flexibility with his girlfriend. (Technically the dullest looking scene but packing really nice heat - all credit to achingly sexy Jessie.) This series will never be one I naturally gravitate towards, but if the studio can keep wrangling top-notch performers as seen here, possibly spend a bit more on the sets and get a bit more daring with the direction, I can see it being quite successful. For now, this Str8 to Gay is basically two-and-a-half star porn getting an extra bump to three stars due to its throwback to Falcon's vanilla days feel. Chalk this one up as a win for nostalgia.
