Red Rocket

Simon Rex (who gay porn aficionados may remember from his "solo" pre-stardom days) is sensational - and often literally naked - in this darkly hilarious new comedy from Sean Baker, the acclaimed indie director behind The Florida Project and Tangerine. Rex stars as Mikey Saber, a down-on-his-luck adult film actor who is back home in small-town Texas after burning bridges and flaming out all over Los Angeles. A fast-talking hustler, operator and overall charismatic con man, Mikey quickly learns that no one wants him back. When he meets a teenager working at a local donut shop, he sees his ticket back to the big time - and goes to despicable lengths to get what he wants. While Red Rocket is not a gay film, there's a live-wire sensibility - and a whole lot of male nudity - that we know our customers will enjoy.
