Reasons to Buy

  1. Based on Australian author Timothy Conigrave's bestselling 1995 memoir of the same name, Holding the Man is one of the most profoundly moving gay romances to come along in years.
  2. Conigrave's memoir, published after his death in 1994, was adapted as a stage play by Tommy Murphy, who also wrote the screenplay for this film. The original production has become one of the most successful Australian stage works in recent years, playing in most Australian capital cities and London's West End.
  3. With exceptional performances from a stellar cast - including lead actors Craig Stott and Ryan Corr, who will steal your heart - and expert direction from the award-winning Neil Armfield, Holding the Man has earned astounding reviews and is being heralded as one of the year's best gay films.
