Skinopsis

What the fuck?! How does a movie start so strong and then... nothing? Early on during his "exotic" South American jaunt Malcolm in the Middle's brother comes back to his hotel having just been robbed only to encounter not one but two hot chicks waiting for him totally topless with their great tits just hovering. It's a truly amazing and deliciously gratuitous moment, one that promised many boobs to come. But no, the closest we get is when he's lounging (way later in the movie) naked with the hot Czech girl he's acquired. She's totally naked and totally hot, but lying in such a way on the cramped hammock that nothing is visible. If we'd known that that first moment was all the boobs we were going to get, we'd have shut the damn thing off before it made us wish we were a rich asshole who could just jet off to South America for like a year and bang hot South American chicks.

Conner Layne seems to have his life all laid out for him – about to be married to his high school sweetheart and already accepted to a great college. That is until he dramatically jilts his fiancée at the altar, revealing his awareness that she cheated on him with his younger brother and getting revenge at the same time in a scene that's as funny as it is outrageous. Instead of his planned honeymoon to Cancun, he gets on the first international flight he can, which by chance happens to be to Managua, Nicaragua. After some comic misadventures, the naïve boy who didn't have a bit of street smarts quickly learns to roll with the punches and finds his feet, putting off college to join a group of expats trying to cross the infamously dangerous Darien Gap between Panama and Colombia. Adventure, comedy, love and plenty of self-discovery ensue. With an irresistible wackiness that borders on the absurd, The Art of Travel captures the adventure, romance and freedom of travel and has an idealism that's infectious. More than a collection of postcard views of dramatic locales, the film captures the spirit of exploration that fuels every traveler.
