Review

Ryan's appeal is almost enough to make this a tolerable experience, a forced comedy-drama that awkwardly shifts between heavy-handed dramatics and sappy humor. It's the story of three sisters (Ryan, Keaton, Kudrow) who are forced to come to terms with the aging of their father (Matthau). Director Keaton has assembled a solid cast, but they're given to hysterics and only an occasion register any true emotion.
