REVIEW
Bad movies can be fun if they have something at least remotely likeable about them, be it an attractive cast, fun special effects or even campy appeal that takes away from what the typical critic would rip apart. Then there are those movies that are just so all around horrific: bad acting, bad lighting, bad direction, bad screenplay, bad story… This is one of those movies. With not one likeable quality, Intentions is a lesbian drama about a married college theater director who begins an affair with an actress in her current play. It might be worth while for the horny lesbian or Skin-a-max admiring heterosexual male if there were actually some hot sex scenes – but any of those are so badly lit you can’t even tell if its two women or a couple of dogs having a romping session. In this day of independent film, there is no reason a bad movie should be blamed on lack of budget. So many great films are created with minimal funds and come out looking a hell of a lot better than this dreadful piece of cinema. This is one of those movies one watches and then thinks nothing other than, “How does such a film even get made?”
