This is a modern day love comedy with both gay and straight overtones. Shakespare would love this story line, totally. This film has managed to capture the true complation of love in the world today! Totally enjoyable! A Must See!!

Totally enjoyed this movie. The two main male characters are young and handsome. You even get to see them naked for a brief second. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. The story line is a bit far fetched but sometimes truth can be stranger than fiction. I've watched this movie three times with three different groups of guys and they all loved it.

This film's a mess. It's not funny and the humor and sexuality is sad and doesn't know it. What a waste? I really was confused by the film and have seen it a few times. Why is it trying to be a romantic film when you only feel contempt for the characters? Especially with a story like that. If the film was a book, it'd be in the bargain bin or trash.

OK, so it wasn't the biggest outrage in Oscar history that this movie didn't nab any best screenplay or acting awards, but this movie was a ton of fun. While I didn't care for Jim Verraros, the other three leads were terrific. And for gay men/straight women looking for some eye candy, Scott Lunsford and Ryan Carnes are ferociously cute. Sure, it's silly and at times preposterous, but it also cracked me up, and I got to like the characters. This movie is pure fluff, but it's damn good fluff!

I just watched "Eating Out," and after reading all of these harsh reviews about it, I decided to write my first online review of a movie in order to express my total opposition towards the majority of these reviews. I am not the kind of person who will be comparing this movie to other gay-themed movies. I am a 21-year-old college student who likes mainstream pop culture, blockbuster movies, and hit TV shows, and I watch movies to relax and temporarily escape any drama that's going on in my life. It was witty, it was funny, and there were all of these twists and turns in the storyline that kept you wondering how it was all going to turn out. I really enjoyed this movie, and it did exactly what a good movie sets out to do. I was entertained, it got me thinking, and it gave me a temporary mental vacation from the world around me. If you're interested in seeing this movie and you share the same interests that I do, then get the movie. The acting was well done, the lighting was fine (honestly, I don't know what some of these other reviewers are talking about), and I just flat out loved the movie.
