Dangerous When Wet
REVIEW
Six lesbian shorts from the Frameline Collection (the presenters of the San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival) are presented in this package. They include: Sleep Come Free Me (1998, 19 min, Laurie Schmidt) A young woman's unbearably dull life is being infiltrated by her rich and sexy fantasy life. I'm Starving (1998, 12 min, Yau Ching) A beautiful surrealist film which deals with the relationship between an Asian ghost and the apartment she shares with an African-American woman. Adam (1996, 4 min, Andrea Stoops) Clever claymation piece about a baby dyke who is mistaken for a boy and loves it! Badass Supermama (1996, 16 min, Etang Inyang) 1970s action heroine Pam Greir was the inspiration for this short about women doing it for themselves. Blue Diary (1997, 6 min, Jenni Olson) Through voice-over and shots of a desolate San Francisco streets and back alleys, this experimental short tells the melancholy story of a young dyke pining over a one-night stand with a straight girl. Dangerous When Wet (1998, Diane Bender) An ironic and humorous tale of a woman's first orgasm, and the difficulty in finding a language to describe the experience. You Might Also Like
