Malcolm did in fact play Caligula, not Germanicus. That was the little kid that got wasted after the banquet. I saw the movie when it came out... first movie I ever paid $5.00 to see and stand on line for, the other 2 were The Exorcist and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. A great Flick "Caligula" damn my VHS copy has stretch marks on it during the Orgy... a bloody good film... a classic. Catherine the Great was to be next... but never came to be... alas. Other films in this genre never measured up...

To correct dvdAddict and Fennis2000, Malcolm McDowell did not play Caligula. He was Caligula's uncle. I suggest you two watch the movie again. And the review TLA used implies that reviewer has not seen the whole movie. I thought the movie was good for the most part although a little slow in spots.

Yes, I too remember there was a gay blowjob scene in the unrated version of this movie. From what I have read the stars of this film did not know that Guccione was going to turn this movie into a porn movie. The explict orgy scene was added after principle photography had been completed with the main actors. I also remember a scene where a group of men are jacking off in a bowl or something for a woman and you can see each one cum.
