Doing a Nighttime Soap the British Way

This was the best thing to ever hit PBS. The story of 'Upstairs, Downstairs' sucked you in. You cared for the characters and how they related to each other. It's the quality of the performances that makes this series most note-worthy to gay viewers.

Jean Marsh (who played Rose, one of the maids in the household) was also one of the show's creators.

A mini-series sequel has been produced by BBC that picks up 6 years after the story in this collection ends.
