Now here's a season! This was the year that The Simpsons broke away from faded-color animation and turned up the sharply satirical heat. Homer is given more comic focus and the gags and pop culture references become more varied, obscure and hilarious. Includes a few of the finest episodes from the canon, like "Flaming Moe's" and "Lisa's Pony", where Homer hilariously moonlights at the Kwik-E Mart to afford a pony for the daughter he so often disappoints.
