Unscrupulous patricidal Victor Towers (Harris) sets up his long-lost, almost identical half-brother Clay Arlington (Haysbert), attempting to murder him and have it look as though he himself has been killed. But Clay survives, disfigured and amnesiac, and is accepted as Victor, who is now under suspicion for their father's murder. Adding a special dimension to this exploration of identity and self-knowing is that Clay is played by Haysbert, who is black, and Victor by Harris, who is white. Shot in stark black and white, and employing a pared-down but effective soundtrack, Suture is an interesting premise with an intriguing execution.
