Review

W. Somerset Maugham's "Rain" gets a good workout as Swanson plays a whore in Pago Pago who takes up with reformer Barrymore. Director Walsh has fun on both sides of the camera playing the sailor who really loves her. Seldom seen, until the recent reconstruction of the lost last reel using surviving production stills and frame enlargements. (Remade in 1932 as Rain and in 1953 as Miss Sadie Thompson)
