Synopsis

Plenty of downtown NYC humor, style and attitude combine with Parker Posey's great performance to make for a sweet indie film.

Review

The joys of capitalism and social conformity are the hidden agendas in this scattershot comedy which ostensibly celebrates bohemian/alternative life in New York's East Village. The story revolves around 24-year-old Mary (Posey) who undergoes a transformation from mindless "party girl" to being a prim and proper librarian. A fun romp.
