The most successful video game-to-film transfer yet (though that's not saying much), this movie is a fun ride through strange worlds and raucous martial arts competitions which wisely abandons any aspirations to plot or character development; everything in this movie is at the service of its action scenes. These scenes, therefore, are well-staged and exciting, pitting three human heroes against a variety of evil humans, monsters and sorcerers. The outcome: the game will decide the future of our world.
