Review

Willis' New York City cop John McClane gets to play on his home turf in this action-packed if derivative third entry. McClane is called into a terrorist bombing case when the perp (Irons), called Simon, asks for him by name. The brother of one of McClane's victims, Simon's out for revenge by playing cat-and-mouse all over the city with our hapless hero. Before you can say Lethal Weapon, McClane is partnered with a Harlem store owner (Jackson) who is now forced to help track down the bomber. With a Vengeance features some extraordinary action sequences; but even in light of the likable pairing of Willis and Jackson, the film has less to offer than the first two.

Shows what happens when you start filming with only half a script. You get to the middle of the film, you have ro make stuff up; like gold bullion, aqueduck getaway, etc. The director even admits that he still can't figure out an ending for the film. TARGET AUDIENCE: Die Hard completists.
