Lightning doesn't strike twice as Ruthless People star Midler and director Abrahams reunite in this rather tame though genial comedy. Midler and Tomlin star as two sets of twins switched at birth who run across each other's paths in the Big Apple. A good premise, a nice turn from the Divine Miss M and some nifty special effects can't save this lightweight comedy; though it does manage a few laughs, it is a disappointment considering the talent involved.
