Attention: ALL Film Lovers!

Philadelphia Cinema Alliance (PCA) is proud announce the next films in the series La Cinemathque: New French Films, in partnership with The Prince Music Theater, The Embassy of France, The French-American Cultural Foundation and TLA Entertainment Group The once-a-month series which began in September, 2009, will premiere popular contemporary French films that may not yet have been released in the United States. So, you'll get to see them first! The first four films in the series for 2010 are being brought to you by PCA with the support and cooperation of these distributors: Titra Films, IFC Films, Seville Pictures and Film Movement. The premiere of Heat Wave (Les Grandes Chaluers) is being presented in cooperation with the Government Offices of Quebec in Washington, D.C. and New York and SODEC.

Synopsis:

Directed by Claire Simon and screened at Directors’ Fortnight at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, the “auteur” filmmaker employs techniques of documentary, such as real life women being interviewed, with narrative by actors as the counselors talking together about sex, pregnancy and abortion.
