Questions?
1. What is a Read-a-thon? Our authors are all graciously donating their time to read, discuss and sign their books. If you attend, you'll get to meet and socialize with other gay & lesbian book lovers (or maybe just lovers).
2. Who is to get the money raised? The funds will be split 50% to the Lambda Literary Foundation and 50% to Giovanni's Room.
3. Who is the Lambda Literary Foundation? The foundation is a not-for-profit organization that is the nation's leading advocate for LGBT writers and readers, publishers and editors, librarians and booksellers!
4. Why is Giovanni's Room raising money? The front wall of their historic structure had to be rebuilt, and they had no money to do the construction. Rather than see the nation's oldest LGBT bookstore close, many Philadelphia book-lovers have banded together to help save the store. If you're interested in volunteering, click here.
5. Will be there be snacks? Sure, we'll have wine and other liquid refreshments, as well as nibble food.
6. Will I meet a new boyfriend? Who knows; you better wear clean underwear....
