I must admit, my reason for buying "Hungry 4 Sex" was that I simply needed a Damon Phoenix fix (one look at his ass on that cover and can you blame me). One can only survive on free internet porn so long. I was tired of the grainy video, the scratchy sound, the sea of back hair and tiny penises (or what are apparently average size penises but just look tiny after watching real porn for so long). This movie did not let me down and was a fantastic ‘welcome home.’

Scene one, starring Eric Hung and Marcos Pirelli, is titled “Head Shot.” Hung has a thick Chinese accent and even though he is therefore a Godless Commie he is, however, appropriately named. He stays rock hard whether he is giving or receiving which is a quality that is oddly lacking in porn today. The oral between the two is fantastic while the fucking peaks at good and levels out at ‘fair to midland.’ Based on the title of the scene (Head Shot, if you recall) one might assume that the money shot would occur all over someone’s head. You’d be wrong. However, you’ll soon forget that when you see the scene’s finale. Pirelli, after flip-flopping with Hung, shoots all over Hung’s cock. Mr. Hung then uses the cum as lube until he blasts which prompts Pirelli to cum again. Good times.

Scene two is the weak link in an otherwise chinkless chain. Justin Wells and Kris Anthony are not bad, don’t get me wrong, but they ain’t good neither. If I walked into any Starbucks in L.A. with a handicam, fifty bucks and a little persistance I could have delivered a better scene. Kris Anthony is hot and has a bald head and luscious eyelashes that lead me to believe he cross dresses in his free time. Well, that is when he isn’t in a tanning bed. His tan lines are comically diverse. His ass and pelvis are Conan O’Brien white, his torso belongs to Terrence Howard while his legs are that of a Mexican farm worker. His three distinct shades are a bit distracting. When he is being rimmed by Justin Wells (a decent effort by Wells, although it goes on too long) it looks like a man plunging his face into a giant marshmallow. The scene features not only rimming but some shrimping by Anthony (again a nice effort, if this is your particular kink). The fucking is a bit of a silver lining as Anthony stays hard the whole time he bottoms. He rides Wells’ cock like a champ.

Scene three brings us Damon Phoenix and Christian Owen. Both gentlemen are gorgeous (if you can forgive Owen’s ridicuolous bleach blonde dye job) and they have fantastic chemistry. Damon Phoenix has the face of a boy scout and the body of a… well, a gay porn star. His ass has been properly deemed one of the best in porn for a reason. The boy was simply born to bottom on film. After a delicious oral scene, Owen rims and fingers Phoenix’s perfect bubble butt and once he is done priming the pump he makes with the fucking. My only complaint is that the anal is rather shortlived (it is just under two minutes from insertion to pop shot). Damon Phoenix could just shake his ass for fifteen minutes and I would be sold, though.

Scene four is the crescendo with a five-way orgy between Erec Estrada, Dominik Rider, Antonio Rio, Park Wiley and, once again, Eric Hung. All but the latter-mentioned stars don loose dog collars in this scene. It does add to the scene in a ‘Diet BDSM’ sorta way. I have always found that Park Wiley looks like he is afflicted with a dusting of some form of retardation so I have never really enjoyed him but even he can’t bring down this scene. The action is consistent and well filmed. In five-ways you can often fall into the trap of having one or two of the guys just standing in the background jerking off, jumping in and out of the action on brief occasion. Here, all five are fully engrossed and all walk away with participation ribbons. Rider and Rio do the lion’s share of the bottoming while the tops rotate around. The scene is crazy hot with one quite stinging drawback.

This finale is entitled “Bukkake Boyz” and, sadly, does not live up to that moniker. If you are unfamiliar with Bukkake, in the words of George H.W., “Google it!” Eric Hung is on his back while Rider is, appropriately enough, riding his dick as the other three circle jerk around them. Rider cums on Hung’s stomach then dismounts and Hung pops his nut. Those are the only two money shots we are privy to as the others were either missed by the camera (as cum is seen on Hung’s collarbone and Estrada appears to have just blown his load) or did not even occur. Not only did we miss three cum shots but the two we did see were in no way Bukkake. One Asian actor does not a Bukkake scene make.

This movie is great overall but does have a few minor flaws. Let’s us scrutinize them. First, director Gino Colbert (or his editor) is far too fond of smash cuts. I enjoy a smooth natural transition between the oral and the anal portions of a scene. I like to see the top throw the bottom down and prepare for entry. In this movie we are enjoying a nice blowjob then smash cut to the men mid-fuck. This editing is what would happen if Tony Scott made the leap to porno. Enjoy the journey, for chrissakes. Second, and more minor, is the scene in which Pete Hill jerks off into a bowl of salad, pisses in it then serves it to Damon Phoenix and Mr. Clorox Head. That’s just gross. Its not Judd-Apatow-so-gross-its-funny, nay nay, it is just plain gross.

I will give the movie credit for its ethnic diversity. Gay porn is too often an endless stream of white dudes that can begin to run together. The addition of Hispanics and an Asian to this cast really spices things up. Asian actors seem relegated to all Asian flicks and when great performers like your Erics Hung or your Brandons Lee can break into the mainstream it just makes for better movies and this one is no exception.
