Review

It took three directors to bring this overblown, epic western to the screen. One of the ultimate "all-star cast" extravaganzas released during the 1960s, this mammoth production was originally shown in 3-strip Cinerama, which is lost on the small screen. The story traces the lives of three generations of a pioneer family. Some outstanding action scenes (the river raft and train sequences in particular).
