Vivid Man succeeds in making a road movie that is both hot and well plotted. The story concerns a group of film students who decide on a final project: a documentary about having sex with a variety of men throughout the country. They and their friends are the stars.

Highlights include Seth Black seducing his reticent professor. Who wouldn't be seduced by the boyish bottom who knows how to work it? Shot on location in spots ranging from the Arizona desert to the sleaze pits of Las Vegas, porn star-turned-director Thompson acquits himself quite nicely here.

It ain't no Naked Highway, but it certainly stands on its own, and is quite hot in spots. Get out your map and start cruisin'.
