Synopsis

Adapted from the classic Edgar Allan Poe story, gay horror director David DeCoteau takes us on a creepy journey where a gay man holds a wild gay party in the ballroom where the infamous "Ravenswood Massacre" happened decades ago. Lot of studs in tighty-whities and some softcore sex!

Review

Boy am I glad that David DeCoteau is back in the gay realm! I've missed his gay boys in their undies films -- it's been 10 years since he wandered off and made icky films such as Beastly Boyz. If you want a cheesy gay horror movie with some light gore, lots of men in tight underwear, gay softcore scenes and a flimsy plot, you're in the right place. Adapted loosely from the Edgar Allan Poe tale and shot in a very wonderfully creepy South African mansion, the boyfriend and I enjoyed this guilty pleasure.

Roderick is holding a masquerade ball on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the infamous Ravenswood massacre. Rather than tempting fate, he's inviting it. As each of the hunky guests arrive they strip to their underwear, make out with their boyfriends and get sliced by a man in a raven costume. I'm afraid that's basically the whole plot. What else do you need? If you're looking for some mindless entertainment, look no further. If you loved this film, check out David's cheesy classic Voodoo Academy. Thanks David for veering back into the gay world, we appreciate it!

***A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT***. A Rental Not A Purchase.

This DVD is huge disappointment for several reasons-

1,i know its a David Decoteau dvd but i've seen better acting in gay
porn.
2. the production values are rather low grade even for a Decoteau
film. one of my fav Decoteau films KILLER BASH looks like a low
budget/independent film. THE RAVEN looks like it was made
expressly for dvd.
3.the TLA Video synopsis/review of the film is a bit misleading. i
hate to be picky but two guys heavy necking is not soft-core sex.
