Synopsis

A gay would-be screenwriter (Phil Leirness), his boyfriend, and another friend crash a Hollywood party thrown by a bigtime attorney with the intention of kidnapping a rich young woman (Shawnee Smith) and demanding a large ransom from her stepfather. Their plan is foiled, however, when the other party goers fail to pay any attention to them.

When a failure of a screenwriter, his bisexual boyfriend and another friend decide to crash a Hollywood party and kidnap a rich young woman and hold her for ransom, all hell breaks loose. Let’s have a look at who was at the party—a gigolo, a former professional athlete, a spoiled heiress, a champion female figure skater, a live band, our three criminal wannabees and the host a hot-shot corporate attorney. Our trio is made of good men who are desperate and have been forced into crime by their own personal circumstances. They knew the heiress would be at the party and this is why they went. They hold the guests hostage and demand a ransom of five million dollars from her step-father. We soon learn that everyone at the party has his own problem and no one is who they say they are.
Granted the plot is simple but the cinematography is excellent, the soundtrack is wonderful and the cast is beautiful to look at. The acting, however, is quite wooden and leaves a lot to be desired. The movie is fluff but it is fun with many twists and lots of dark comedy.
