From the press notes: "Enter the world of Peter Berlin in That Boy, a classic of gay male erotic filmmaking, available for the first time on DVD in a Special Edition packed with amazing extras. Filmed in 1974 on the heels of his phenomenally successful first film, Nights in Black Leather, That Boy is quintessential Peter Berlin: a series of voyeuristic fantasies within fantasies, shot with style and charged with erotic tension.

Peter plays Helmut, a thinly veiled version of Peter himself, who befriends a young blind boy on the street. The blind boy's active imagination places Peter/Helmut in a series of elaborate fantasy set pieces, including encounters with men in a photographer's studio, at the gym, in a bar, and so on. Dressed in his famous black leather jacket and skin-tight white pants, Berlin poses and cruises his way around San Francisco's Polk Street and South of Market areas, encountering his many admirers and plenty of steamy action.

That Boy serves up a tasty helping of Peter Berlin along with a rare glimpse of gay San Francisco in the early 1970s. Watch for members of the famous Cockettes and Angels of Light playing colorful street characters and bar denizens.

Also included on this Special Edition are two short films Peter made in the mid-1970s which were originally sold as 8mm reels by mail order. "Search" features Peter cruising himself at the Russian River. "Blueboys" is an incredibly hot two-part encounter between Berlin and his long-time friend, who went under the porn name Marc Majors. In a special treat for Berlin fans, the Special Edition contains four selections of raw footage from the hundreds of hours of never-before released film and video footage Berlin has amassed.

The footage from Peter's Vault includes a very young and mischievous Peter attempting to jerk-off on the train from Paris to Germany, a hot encounter with a mystery man in which a confused poodle almost steals the show, and two wild solo Peter Berlin video clips that have to be seen to be believed.

Please note: The elements used to create the That Boy Special Edition were remastered from the best available prints. As with most underground films, archival quality prints are not available. Image quality is very good, but there are scratches in the print and other defects that are inherent in film prints of this age that have not had the benefit of being stored or maintained in a professional archive."
