As Linda, the bisexual ex-cop turned sex therapist, Suranne Jones lights up the small screen in this daring television series from the UK. I had to watch the entire series in one day! From the first episode that introduces us to Linda, her husband, in-laws, ex-lover, and of course the patients that attend the thriving practice she shares with her brother-in-law Greg, I was hooked. Starting with a bang the series opens with the bizarre death of a patient at the clinic, a nymphomaniac who died seemingly from auto-erotic asphyxiation (restricting air flow for intensified orgasms.) After a call for help in the case from Angie (the detective assigned to the case and Linda’s ex-girlfriend), Linda is pulled deep into a vortex of doubt and suspicion, questioning those closest to her. In the midst of all this craziness Linda is also trying to get pregnant with her brother-in-law’s sperm, her ex-girlfriend has unresolved feelings for her, and she thinks her husband might be the killer.

Each episode introduces us to patients at the clinic and their sexual problems as tasty little side lines. And there is so much sex we are surprised it ever made it to the airwaves! Gotta love those Brits! They also gradually peel away layers in the mysterious death and long hidden desires are brought to the surface for an unexpected twist that I never saw coming.

See this series through to the end and you will be left gasping at the final episode. I am thrilled this incredibly sexy series with smart writing and an irresistible cast that pushes the limits made it stateside. I only wish they would make more television like this.
