The title speaks for itself as each of the nine films deal with gay men who have some kind of affair with straight men. Four of the films are directed by Jorge Ameer who directed “Straight Men and the Men Who Love Them 1”.
The films are sensual, romantic and provocative as they explore and expose the passion and the love between men who are sexual opposites, or, are they? These shorts will blur the preconceived thoughts we may have about sexual preference.
First up is Ameer’s “Tease”, a very short look at what employees do at work when no one is watching.
“Subconscious” directed by Zack Voytas shows how a bad break up leads a man to “tap into his subconscious and the way he really feels”.
Ameer’s “Courtship at the Office’ looks at the way signals can be misinterpreted when a businessman confesses his feelings of affection to an associate.
“Midnight Snack” (Jorge Ameer) is a frightening look at modern heterosexual marriage A couple who are out on the town celebrating their anniversary when they meet a handsome filmmaker at a bar. The young msn soon realizes that there is more than he suspects when he realizes the couple’s agenda in this frightening short.
I love “Thirteen or So Minutes” directed by William Braden Blinn. After a passionate night between two “straight” men, they discuss their sexuality in this powerful gem of a film.
“The House of Adam” (Ameer) is a short taken from an upcoming full length feature with the same name and it certainly whet my appetite. Adam is a small town resident in the country and a worker in a restaurant develops a relationship with the owner of the diner’s son who is, as he says, “not gay”.
“Confidences” directed by Blinn, in my opinion, is the weakest of the films or perhaps I just did not understand it. Clay’s best friend Reggie goes beyond the “sanctity” of their friendship when he tries to bring Clay to face his “business as usual” approach to his fiancée and what he must do to correct it.
“A Soldier’s Chance” directed by Adrian Benjamin Burke is a revelation in beauty and style. It is a dark romance about a gay Marine’s first fate and how he puts his duty to his country above personal happiness.
Finally, “Reunited” by Jean Carlos London is about two men who were childhood friends who are reunited under very strange circumstances.

Thank God I rented this! Half of the shorts had longer credits than the shorts themselves. I thought that Thirteen or so Minutes was the best of the bunch! Something is wrong with these - I watched a short that had three people but the credits were for many many more in the characters segment - where were these people ? Subliminal? And there were credits for music that didn't exist!
