Synopsis

Even gayer than the first season (Spartacus: Blood and Sand), the 6-episode prequel Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena features a gay romance between the characters Barca (tribal New Zealander Antonio Te Maioha) and Auctus (Australian cutie Josef Brown) - two alpha male gladiators who can fight as well as they fool around. In addition, there are plenty of other buff bodies to feast your eyes on!

Series creator Steven DeKnight says: "One of my favorite moments – I think it’s in episode two or three – is between Barca and Auctus. They have an exchange that becomes sexual that I just love. It embodies everything that I wanted from this relationship, which is a physical, jocular type of relationship. They enjoy trying to one-up each other. They’re both fighters, and they’re both equals. There’s no delicate flower in this relationship."
