Synopsis

In Gabriel Maitreya's (Bloodlust) Shade and Shadow, a young widower, mourning the first anniversary of his wife's death, is visited by faces from his past. At his mother's behest he goes to their now abandoned childhood home where he is visited by a masked servant, a retired film star, an old girlfriend, her new boyfriend and a filmmaker in the guise of a rotting bird. These odd guests soon gather they are haunted by ghosts from the past. Made in the style of a long-forgotten, lost or banned film, Shade and Shadow recreates in painstaking detail a bygone era that never was.

Of interest to our gay customers, the film has lots of male nudity, and the two male leads have a (very odd) relationship - though nothing apart from a kiss and a strange dream sequence where the two are naked and covering each other in BBQ sauce (that's a first - we've debated starting a condiments keyword).
