In addition to I’ve Heard the Mermaids Singing - her beloved debut – Canadian filmmaker Patricia Rozema wrote and directed the essential lesbian romance When Night is Falling in 1995. He last full-length directorial effort came with the release of Mansfield Park - a highly underrated Jane Austin adaptation – in 1999. She has since directed numerous episodes (including the pilot) of the acclaimed HBO series Tell Me You Love Me.
