Of all the vibrating masturbators that have come across my desk, none have excited (and frankly intimidated me) as much as the Maximus Power Stroker. On the high end price-wise for these kind of toys, it initially seems you get what you have paid for: It is huge and heavy with a translucent plastic cover that shows its multiple bead stroking function and with its 4 C battery requirements, promises one fucking powerful experience.

The idea is that you stick your dick in and the dozens of rubber nodules, powered by the up and down action of the beads, stroke you to an intense ejaculation. That’s the promise but does it deliver? No. Let’s start with the case – it was built with a certain dick size in mind, the interior rubber sleeve can stretch but the metal beads and the hard plastic cover can not. So if you have a thin or thick dick, you are either not going to feel a thing or won’t be able to stick your hard-on in it. Also, if your dick is larger than 6 inches, you will not get the full stroking feeling. I was glad I am of average size but I couldn’t even think of handing this over to be plus-sized roommate for a sloppy-seconds go.

I lubed, stroked, inserted and then excitedly turned the power on. With a hum that approached the sound level of a vacuum cleaner, the little rows of beads began their up and down movement. But I thought, is that all there is? The movement actually did not feel like a mouth, hand or ass, just some weird rolling action around my dick. I started moving the thing up and down to help it out, but it only helped a bit (and why should I have to move it up and down if I paid for a powered jack off toy!?) I began to think, oh fuck, how am I going to describe the cumming experience and then the clean up procedures of this toy because there was no way in hell I was going to be able to spurt into this overpriced Chinese-made contraption. And that my friends was my early morning experience – I needed to pull out, jerk off (and not a good one) and then fantasize on how I would construct a powered jacking machine. If I had cum, the clean-up is a little clumsy – you need to pull the rubber sleeve out, wash it and then gingerly re-insert it for the next time.

In conclusion, the toy is manufactured better than the other powered strokers, but still failed in delivering its promise of hands-free milky bliss. My advice? Buy one of the better manual strokers or just lube up and do it the old fashioned way.
