Review

"You've been looking around and they were here all the time - born and bred right here in the good ole U.S. of A." This compendium of scenes from director Kevin Clarke's IOP Productions is quite the tasty sampler. While each film stands on its own - Clarke's films are all screenplay and/or theme heavy - each scene here works quite well as stand-alones. The Johnny Biddulph/Charlie Moore scene from The American City is a personal fave - there's nothing like watching two punky/artsy New York boys going at it. (Love the mohawked bedhead look.) There's plenty of boy groping and frottaging going on, and some of the cumshots delivered are super wet and explosive.

Clarke's optional audio commentary track, while a bit dry in spots, is definitely worth a listen. The man knows how to shoot gay adult, and his enthusiam is wildly infectious. And you might learn a thing or two from listening to him. His recent self-imposed exile from porn (he abhors the barebacking movement that has proliferated the business in the past few years) will sting a bit, as he is/was one of the best at shooting young gay men having unbridled and passionate sex.

Caveat: The back cover makes mention of a new scene from an apparent third sequel called The American Way Part 4: The Pretty Boys, a project one can assume was scrapped as it nowhere on the disc.
