Review

Remastered for DVD in 2008, this is the definitive version of one of director Higgins' most notorious. The "Lazy Susan" gang fuck of Kevin Williams (which was completely banned for some time) has been fully restored to the feature, the print has been cleaned up, and a nice bunch of bonus extras have been added to the disc.

As the video opens, we get a film-to-video recreation of the finale of the first film (this is not really a sequel). Don't be alarmed by the fake letterboxing during the credits; it's merely an artistic choice and disappears as soon as the feature itself begins.

Much ink and cum have been spilled over the years about the opening threeway between Jeff Quinn, Rocky Armano and Mike Henson. Almost everything you've read is true: the scene is astonishing in its hotness and versatility of all three guys (not to mention the multiple cumshots). The penetration shots are fucking amazing, and will probably burn into your memory; it's that good.

The next scene is not as powerful, but, I'm not ashamed to admit, is my favorite. (It's a really sleazy one.) Mike Henson and John Davenport discover used rubbers on the floor of grease monkey John's garage bathroom. A sting is set by John: put in a hidden camera. (It ain't legal - but it's hot!) Cutie Jason Lowe shows up at the garage and asks to use the bathroom. Naturally John lets him use it. I guess Jason gets turned on by latex and spilled spooge, because he sits on the toilet, unzips and pops out his meat.

John, of course, is watching (closed circuit TV was so scandalous back in the day) and stroking that legendarily beautiful meatpole of his as well. Jason gets a rubber from the vending machine and starts really going to town. One of my all-time favorite porn moments is the shot-from-under-the-toilet view we get of Jason fingering his hole. (It's so hot, and so nasty if you think about it.) The climax is even better: John blows a considerable wad, as does Jason - who promptly scoops his load up off the filthy bathroom floor and wipes it on the wall. Yum. (I told you it was really sleazy!)

There's a tryst between straight-trade Vinnie Marino (fight with the wife, needs a place to stay) and Jeff Quinn that was pretty good. We get the bedroom workout before retiring, Vinnie falling asleep first, Jeff pining, Jeff daring to touch his sleeping straight friend, and then pouncing. For the record, Vinnie makes Jeff his new "wife" - at least for tonight.

Next is a bizarre but definitely hot scene. Mike Henson tells buddy Eric Radford about a weird "show" put on nightly by one of his neighbors (Alan Fox). Without giving too much away, let's just say that if you're a fan of role playing, light bondage, and ripping garments, this scene may prove to be your favorite in the movie.

The Lazy Susan sequence is next, and is the grand finale to this classic. While waiting for his car to be repaired, uber-blonde Kevin Williams drifts off and imagines getting pounded by the mechanics on duty. It's a gorgeously shot surreal scene, with large fluorescent bulbs used to stimulate, growls on the soundtrack and quick editing. We cut to Kevin getting his clothes ripped apart by five leather-clad brutes (some with hoods on) and forced down upon the Lazy Susan.

Kevin is subjected to licking boot, gets his ass probed by fingers, ballbeads, a dildo, and what appears to be the end of an enema (nothing is expelled, don't worry). Clanking chains hung from overhead are used as support by the gang of anal thieves, and the action only intensifies. Loads are spilled, but there's still more. Kevin takes two unsheathed cocks at once in a wicked double penetration before being slathered in joy juice and waking up.

A strange final sequence appears that claims will be followed up on in Sailor in the Wild 2. It's an odd tracking shot of a Jason Voorhees-like character stalking two stranded boys in the wilderness. One guy gets strung up to a tree as the other guy breaks free. It ends with the hockey-masked man raising a knife, as if ready to stab one of the guys, and then getting his nuts brutally squeezed. Uh... ok.

There's no question that the Lazy Susan scene is intense, but now that we all are familiar with Kevin and his predilection for rough anal play on camera, it doesn't seem as shocking now as it probably originally did. The truth about why it was shorn from release is less dramatic than the rampant rumors over the years would have you think. No, Kevin was not forcefully pissed on in the scene. No, Kevin was not overly traumatized by how rough it got. No, Kevin did not demand it be cut or he would sue Catalina. It's much simpler:

Two of the models in the scene are wearing leather hoods; as such their faces are disguised. Government crackdown on porn was at an all-time high (Reagan years, guys) and busts were happening on a frequent basis. The fact that two models' faces were obscured (which could lead to an incorrect assumption they were underage) and that the scene was so intense, both Catalina and Higgins decided to err on the side of "safety." Thus the scene was cut out, basically to avoid a potentially devastating and probably unwinnable lawsuit.

If there is anything else missing from the scene (as some die hards who swear they saw more at one point still claim), no one - including both the director and the studio - makes mention of it anywhere.

The print looks better than ever, with nice color restoration and the sound cleaned up. The last scene is the only one to be somewhat troublesome; it's extremely dark and shadowy and a bit hard to see. The DVD extras include an extended scene from The Best Little Warehouse in L.A., a hardcore stills gallery, a Kevin Williams glamour gallery (the stills here are very vibrant) and four preview trailers.
