Lots of sexy fun, Grande École makes no pretense at intellectualism; there's plenty of high drama, lots of naked guys, hot sex and a budding gay romance! Grande École directed and written by Robert Salis gives us a look into the lives of the young elite of France, and it's even more complicated, with race thrown into the stew of sex and class. The film is set at an elite French Business School, where uber-rich kids learn to become tycoons. The action revolves around Paul (Gregori Baquet), who, in one of many parallels to Maurice, is not quite to the manor born. As the film begins Paul is straight and dating a woman. To his surprise, he finds himself emotionally and sexually drawn to his rich, powerful and gorgeous roommate Louis (Jocelyn Quivrin). He finds relief — and and eventually romance — when Mécir, a working-class Arab (in other words, totally inappropriate) young man (Salim Kechiouche) comes on to him hard.

Grande École is a highly dramatic film with searingly graphic lovemaking and two very steamy men's shower scenes. Ultimately, though, Salis gives Paul the same choice that Forster gave Maurice: a life of wealth, power and emotional emptiness or societal ostracism in return for true passion. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHY ONLY THE FRENCH CAN MAKE FILMS LIKE THIS?!?!?!?!?! This is a classic film noir of a lover's circle of intrigues consisting of gay and straight incidents of comical porportions interspersed quiet magnificently. Holds the audience attence attention from beginning to the very end, The actors are simply superb in their characterizations. A must for your Collection. THE SAGA CONTINUES AD INFINITUM!!!

I thought it was going to be cheesey and not worth it at all. Boy oh Boy was I wrong. I enjoyed it alot and the girls that were behind the camera were very good and hilarious. It was amazing how they had the guys wrapped around their fingers. I was completely shocked and I am most definately getting the collection! I do recommend this film for men and women to view. I laughed and it was sexually exciting so buy all three and enjoy them. I know this is going to stay with me for a long time and in your collection as well!!

As a francophone who's about to return to France, I found this fun to listen to, though it was rather dull in gay terms.

Yes, there's a lfair amount of nudity, but there's also a lot of very French discussion about Life, Class, Love, Meaning, Exstence. And the nudity isn't on-screen long enough, nor are the gay love scenes extended enough to make this a truly satisfying gay film.

It's an interesting look into the BCBG crowd, but not really worth the time.

More male nudity than I've seen in a feature film in years...

Let me say it again - I love French films! The French are pushing Western culture to become more liberated about sexuality - and we should be celebrating that. This film is more of a political statement than it is good drama. But it's also one hell of a cock fest - gorgeous, young French actors can always be counted on to show more than counterparts in other parts of the world. Gregori Baquet, who plays the lead, does so many nude scenes in this flick, I literally lost count. I think and hope that we'll definitely see much more of this fucking amazing hottie! Salim Kechiouche who plays Mecir, his gay lover, is clearly pandering to the universal gay male community with his roles in gay-positive features - he's managed to shed his clothes generously and exhibit full frontal nudity in now two gay-friendly films - this one and Criminal Lovers. I'm hooked, that's for sure. This film has about the most C & A, or cock and ass that I've seen in almost any feature-length film in memory. We get two amazing male water polo team shower scenes. The second scene will keep you occupied with lube for hours, despite its five minute running time. My libido thanks the director immensely.

Up the working class

The temptations of wealth and status, with the added whip of homophobia, send some of this films characters into a headlong dash towards lives of conformism, venality and banality.
There they sucumb to the diseases that the rich and the near rich univerally fall prey to - racism, hatred for working people and abject submission to greed and authority.
Louis could go on write advice for the President of France exploring torture - just how much is permitted in this or that case, very much like a certain Texas success story, now up for Attorney General, did for our President. Paul will always be torn between love and money. But who cares? As the world, and the stomach, turn, the petty lives of these petit bourgeois babies are scarcely interesting.
With the sole exception of the character of Mécir, played by Salim Kechiouche, none of the actors look like or portray the passions and brashness of youth, which, in a film about student life and youth, is a serious deficiency.
You might be tempted to feel sorry for Paul and Louis and their scheming girlfriends if you hadn't met them in real life - where their corruption and venality make them despicable and ultimately, boring and insignifigant.
