Ellen walks onto the stage of The Beacon Theater in NYC to a rousing standing ovation from the largely gay & lesbian audience. Obviously, overwhelmed by feelings, tears show in the corners of her eyes. One realizes that Ellen DeGeneres is truly a hero to the community. The show is divided into six beautifully delivered monologues. The first skit involves the television show, her coming out, and the cancellation - and it is truly very funny. She also talks bugs, videotaping sex and a bizarrely politically incorrect tale of a woman pulled over by a cop while wearing a leather harness, a captains hat and a paddle! A wonderfully enjoyable evening for us and it appears for Ellen as well.
