Synopsis

This new cable TV series chronicles the crazy antics of best friends and self-proclaimed culture aficionados Chris Carter and John Simpson. The comedy/reality television series follows the duo as they go on a demanding mission to save the world…one gay at a time.
Currently broadcast on OUTtv (Canada) and soon to be broadcast on here! Networks (USA), Chris and John bumble through conquests to help their fellow man, sometimes succeeding and sometimes tripping up. The hilarious series features such adventures as searching for the perfect “fag hag,” making the ultimate gay-over, exploring the bear community, bringing the Christmas spirit to the ultimate Scrooge, setting up an eligible gay teen bachelor on a date (with a supernatural twist), helping an aspiring Broadway diva and more!
Chris and John first graced television appearing on OUTtv’s interstitial series called The Chris & John Show in Canada. After winning over audiences, OUTtv launched Chris & John’s ROAD TRIP!, a new half-hour series featuring the twosome. This series quickly became wildly popular in its first season, but while planning a second season, Chris and John decided to take things in a slightly different direction. "We realized that what we were doing was really rescuing people, coming to their aid," John said, "and that's the next level we wanted to take the series to." Chris added, "People needed our help desperately... Whether or not we helped or made things worse is really irrelevant. We gave it our all, and that's what really counts, right?" The new Chris & John to the Rescue! premiered its seven episodes in 2006 on OUTtv and introduced audiences to recurring characters and series staples including Scum, the fag hags and Brian Doyle.
