Synopsis

Two young Chinese women follow their dreams of the West to Canada. Strangers to each other on the same plane, dancer Jessie (Diana Peng) and doctor Camille learn that the paths of heart are rocky indeed as the men in their lives reveal dark, unsettling secrets which change the lives of everyone forever. The two women quickly embark on a series of heterosexual relationships before discoevring very belatedly that they would be happier together. Intimately and honestly exploring for the first time the sexuality of Chinese women living in a foreign culture, this film was winner of the C.I.C.A.E. Award at the Berlin Film Festival, Best Director at the Palm Springs Film Festival and Young Cinema at the Tokyo Film Festival. (Mandarin and English with English subtitles)
