Filmed like an art film, yet with some of the goriest and most disgusting footage we've seen yet, this film will have a limited yet devoted audience. There's very little dialogue in Cannibal, not there's much needed in a film where the characters are identified as "The Man" and "The Flesh". We recommend watching this in a group of people and someone to hug you after the trauma. Based on a true story, this is the tale of a German man who kills and eats a willing victim. Do not read this review if you are at all sqeamish.

"The Man" (Frank), mild-mannered office worker by day, seeks a partner online for the ultimate kinky game, he wants to kill and eat someone. After a series of screening interviews for the proper consenting victim , he meets "The Flesh" and their chemistry is apparently correct. They spend the night having sex, totally naked, nothing hidden in this film, getting ready for the ultimate act. By morning "The Man" is not quite so brave and he chickens out, for a while anyway. After some reassurance and a signed statement, the killing begins. First he slices off the penis, fries it and they share the member in nauseated bliss. Then he sets about to kill "The Flesh" by poisoning him, slicing his neck and then he goes in for a complete blood letting. Lots of gore and guts later he jerks off to a video of the procedings and partakes of a lovely human supper.

Also of interest to you guys who have read this far are the totally nude sex scenes, which take up a good portion of the middle third of the film. With suitably scary music, little dialogue, smokily dank settings and very realistic gore, Cannibal accomplishes its goals – it's frightening as hell.
