Synopsis

Elizabeth Ruth has gathered the work of fifty five talented writers who performed at her monthly reading series Clit Lit, now entering its fifth successful year. Clit Lit began in 1998 and is Canada's only queer literary series. (No, it is not an erotica reading series or an open mike event) There were over 400 people, from all across Canada and some from the US, who had read at the series at the time of the deadline to submit work for Bent On Writing, contemporary queer tales.

Bent On Writing offers readers everywhere a "how to" guide for establishing their own literary events, a modern look at queer life and literature, and a shockingly beautiful glimpse into a talent-filled reading series that began on a small stage in the back of a restaurant/bar on Toronto's Church street.
